Electroplated zinc is offered as a protection to steel from corrosion.    A protective coating is added to the  zinc to increase the protection and is offered in a yellow hexavalent chromate and an iridescent trivalent chromate that is also RoHS compliant. Our Ware Shoals facility offers a Chloride Zinc and our Greenwood facility has an Alkaline Zinc.  GF&P offers many specs for zinc plating, including ASTM B633.
